DATE: Victorian, c.1890

Cool late Victorian sapphire and diamond crescent pendant with a minimalist aesthetic (I mean relatively, for the Victorians anyway). The front has a brushed matte gold finish, with seven gemstones in recessed square settings. Dating from the 1890s, the sapphires display excellent colour and the diamonds are chunky old mine cuts - crafted in 15 karat gold throughout.
